Like many college freshmen, I had the "Soda, Pop or Coke" debate with my fellow dormmates. I say it's soda. But don't take my word for it. The Pop vs. Soda debate is the subject of some serious academic studies.

Despite my growing up with an father from Oklahoma, my dialect is very Yankee. But every so often, an Oklahomism comes out of my mouth without my realizing it.
