Quiet Friday night

It's 11:45pm on a Friday night. I suppose that one should to be out partying. I've never been into clubbing.

This is how I spent my Friday.

1. Happy hour at Chaya. Enjoyed a few vodka martinis.
2. Laundry. My sister will be visiting from out of town. I do housework regularly, but the serious efforts in cleaning are used only when visitors come.
3. Drinking sangria while doing housework.
4. Listening to the Amélie soundtrack.
5. Finding my old diary. There's a note from one of my tutors at the University of London tucked inside. I had a huge crush on him. Sometimes I still wonder whatever became of Hugh Collins.
6. Posting about my Friday night.

My recipe for Sangria

2 bottles cheap red wine
1 large bottle Orangina (1 litre)
1 cup vodka
1/2 cup triple sec
1/2 cup peach schnapps (I like Archers)
Fruit (sliced apples, oranges, limes and peaches)

Mixed all ingredients together and serve over ice.

Personally, I don't like fruit in Sangria coz it gets in the way of my drinking.
